Dan Hutchinson brought his brother, Jason, to help him get acquainted with the members of the Club.
FINES AND RECOGNITIONS
Bruce Whear stated that Heidi’s son, Ross, got married in their backyard and Bruce offered his facilities to any and all members of Rotary. Bruce stated that Marblehead Little Theater sold out 2 of the 3 performances for "Happy Madison." His improv company will be performing this weekend.
Rich Eisner gave the bird report in Gerrit's absence. Rich got a birdie while playing golf last weekend.
Gerrit was celebrating his mother-in-law’s 89th birthday.
It was Pilar Garro's birthday and she brought her check in the amount of her age as her donation.
Leslie Levesque shared a wonderful training session with her 14 year old daughter in the Florida Keys learning how to train dolphins. Also, her daughter was awarded a Presidential Scholarship for which Leslie believes was due to the leadership skills that she learned during her Interact day.
Joe Amico was asked to be a board member for his services in Michigan.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CLUB BUSINESS
Mike McLaughlin thanked all of the volunteers for their participation and service at the DCF Picnic, especially Jeff Holloran, who donated two bikes - one for a girl and one for a boy, and David Wescott and Jeff for the food shopping service. There were over 100 family and friends in attendance. They enjoyed pony rides and a Bouncy house.
The District Governor, Joan Arsenault, will be visiting Salem and speaking about her objectives for the upcoming year.
The Club is looking for a host, a captain, crew, and volunteers to help run and sponsor a Lifebridge dinner on Wednesday, September 4th. If you are interested, or want additional information, please contact President Mike McLaughlin at mmclplumb@gmail.com
