President Joe Shares Membership Survey Results!

President Joe was pleased to report that our Club is engaged and overall very happy to be members of the Salem Rotary Club!
Members reported being satisfied with their membership overall. We overwhelmingly enjoy the lunch-time meetings on Tuesdays, along with the food and the location. Members responded that the price of things and what we get from our membership is just right, and they feel welcome in our Club.
Although responses were predominantly positive, there is always room for improvement. One thing that stood out which mirrors past responses from previous surveys is that we could improve the onboarding and inclusion of new members in our Club. This will be explored by the Membership Committee this year. We will also continue to explore reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

President Joe requests that all Salem Rotarians take an active role in recruiting new members this year. Repeating Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta’s charge “Each One, Bring One,” he would like each of us to bring someone to lunch so that they can see what our Club is all about.  Bruce Whear reminded us that we are an International Organization and visiting other clubs when you are vacationing is a great experience.

As we progress into this Rotary year, President Joe would like us to explore the Four Way Test and what it means to us. Similar to the “Why am I a Rotarian” segment, he will ask a member to share their thoughts at the start of each meeting.
