This week at Rotary...

There was a Board of Directors meeting this week. Just a summary for everyone:

A key item of discussion was the budget for this new fiscal year which was very ably presented by Bill Henning. A draft budget was approved by the Board of Directors.

Going forward, the Board of Directors meetings will be taking place the 4th Tuesday of the month prior to the club's evening meetings and at the same location.

Important news!! Meals will be increasing in cost to $23 a meal.

May the loud bell ringing to start the meeting continue!

Assistant Governor Martha Mauser had kind words to share about both Jen and Claire.

We will begin having speakers once again in August. If you have any suggestions, please let the Speaker Committee know. Rosters are being finalized.

The International Committee will be meeting after Rotary in two weeks.

NEXT WEEK IS AN EVENING MEETING

AS THE ROTARY WORLD TURNS...

ROTARIAN NEWS

  • Claire Kallelis visited her parents up North and kayaked in pond with her cousin. She was having a good old time, enjoying nature when saw something strange on the shore and heard what sounded like a woman's cry, and realized it was a black bear chasing a deer. The bear gave Claire a good stare.
  • Tyler Haines is excited to be going to Colorado next week for a family reunion.
  • Carolyn Shapiro's father always wears a Korean War hat and had his bill paid at a restaurant. The customer thanked him. It happened twice more in the course of the week.
