Amplify LatinX

Rosario Ubiera-Minaya is a leader, community activist, and social entrepreneur originally from the Dominican Republic. Rosario is the Executive Director of Amplify Latinx, a non-partisan, collaborative movement whose mission is to build Latinx economic and political power by significantly increasing Latinx civic engagement and representation in leadership positions across sectors. Rosario is leading a Latinx power coalition of over 3,000 active members and over 140 business and community partners.

She is also the founder and principal of Cojuelos’ Productions, which focuses on proudly celebrating all artistic expression through creative and innovative diverse and culturally oriented programming and curated experiences. Rosario’s vision has led to what is today the PUNTO Urban Arts Museum in Salem.  

Her prior experience includes Chief Program Officer for North Shore CDC and, Director of Outreach and Enrollment for North Shore Community Health Inc.; as well as Executive Director for the Salem Education Foundation, Program Director at the Peabody Essex Museum and, Marketing and Promotions Manager for Telemundo-Boston. Rosario holds a Master’s degree in Leadership in Education with a concentration in Museum Education from Bank Street College and a Bachelor in Communications with a concentration in Marketing and Public Relations from Salem State University.

She has received numerous awards and recognitions; most recently, 2019 Hispanic Heritage Leader by the New England Patriots Foundation and the Kraft Family Foundation; “Inspirational Woman of 2019” from Latina Center MARIA, and “Unsung Heroine” by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Other recognitions include the Rising Star Award for Outstanding Leadership in Community Development from the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Coalitions, a Community Service Award from the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers and was recognized as Community Hero and as Boston’s Hispanic Hero by the Negro Election Day Association and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts respectively.
