Rinus Oosthoek brought Jeff Schwartz, the new Assistant Director of the Salem Chamber of Commerce, as his guest.

Bruce Whear just returned from a fabulous trip from Spain. He said the museums were beautiful, but please no more statues of Jesus.
Bruce will be performing in open comedy at the Marblehead Little Theater and "Accidently on Purpose" at the Larcom Theater, Dec 19,2019.

Rinus invited everyone to celebrate at the Hawthorne Hotel to combined a Salem Chamber/Salem Rotary breakfast celebration next Thursday, December 12, 2019 with a star-studded guest list, including Mayor Kim Driscoll, Rep. Paul Tucker, and Rep. Joan Lovely.
Suzanne O’Brien announced the birth of her first grandchild three weeks early.

Liz Bradt adventured to Arizona and spent a night camping at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and meditated by the ocean.
Gerrit Bradley went to help his uncle with Alternative Alzheimers and adjust to his new safe place surroundings.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CLUB BUSINESS
President Mike announced that Salem Rotary is participating in purchasing gifts for the Angels of the YMCA. Please contact Mike or Liz if you would like to share in the gift purchasing, as some angel tickets have not be assigned. All gifts for the angels should be returned at the next Salem Rotary meeting December 10,2019, or will need to be delivered to the Salem YMCA up until Dec. 13, 2019.
The tribute to Dick Lutts was postponed due to inclement weather.
Mike also extended the invitation for the Salem Rotary Christmas happening this Friday at 33 Liberty Hill Ave., Salem catered by Howling Wolf.
Donations of alcohol of choice of desserts welcome.
The holiday celebration begins at 7 pm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!
This Saturday is the DCF Christmas Party located in the field house of The Salem High School. All volunteers please check the schedule.
Mike announced that in lieu of a calendar advertisement, Jeff Holloran offered a generous donation to pay for the gifts for the children of the DCF Christmas party.
Please thank Jeff of his tremendous holiday spirit!
The calendars should be ready for distribution at the next Salem Rotary meeting.
