This week at Rotary, members of the Salem Rotary Club Auction Committee, Calendar Committee, and Membership Committee met to continue planning for this Rotary year. This year's Auction theme is fresh, new, and amazing. The committee will be adding more and more information, but for right now put Friday March 13, 2026 in your calendars. Get excited!
The Calendar Committee is narrowing down the concept with the goal of having calendars printed for October. Next year's calendar is a celebration of Salem's 400+ so we want to capitalize on that special event. The Membership Committee is exploring ways to onboard new Rotarians, perhaps with a mentorship path. Stay tuned for more details!
Salem Rotarians were very busy this past week as well. Our wonderful venue, the Historic Hawthorne Hotel, celebrated its 100th birthday in style, led by Salem Rotarian Claire Kallelis. The annual Fete en Blanc event was held on Saturday, and of course several Salem Rotarians were in attendance. The event raised money for the Salem Pantry, one of our favorite organizations. Finally, an intrepid group of Salem Rotarians travelled all the way to Marblehead to volunteer at SPUR for their backpack packing event for Salem students.

BOAT NAMES NEEDED
The Salem Rotary Sailors are getting ready to build another vessel for Salem's annual Cardboard Boat Regatta. Jen Close will be reaching out for name suggestions. Start thinking and save the date to cheer on the team at the big sail on August 9.
DISTRICT GRANTS
Share your ideas for a Rotary District Grant with President Ryan! Each club in our district can apply for matching grants of up to $3,000 to support projects within our community. Projects, with a match from our club, can have a total budget of up to $6,000!
