This Week at Rotary
Evening meeting and Board of Directors update
This week the club enjoyed some time to socialize and share recent life events. There was a Board of Directors meeting prior to the Rotary meeting and quite a bit was done!
The Vice President search is over! Congratulations to Tyler Hains for accepting the role. It's not that much work. I swear.
The Calendar fundraiser will be replaced with the Ultimate Salem Raffle (relax, just a working title) with one amazing prize including $1626 in cash, a stay at the Hawthorne Hotel, a $250 gift certificate to The Ledger restaurant, two tickets to Witch City Walking Tours (recently ranked as the #1 tour company in the country), and a welcome basket with so much more. There will still be $100 drawings, but they will be monthly, they will still cost $20 a ticket, and Rotarians will still be responsible for selling 10 of them.
The Gala (not Auction) theme has been selected. It is “Regency Remixed”, a Bridgerton themed event. Just another show to add to my list of “things to watch that I will never get to.” The Gala will be March 19, 2027.
Funds Allocation was busy:
$500 to Marblehead Holiday Pops Concert
$500 to Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem's Wild Turkey road race
$1000 to Salem YMCA Giving Tree (10 total leaves)
The Salem Senior event has been moved to November 12 and will be a 70s theme.
Dutch Drinks will be Friday, October 2 at the Anchor in Beverly. Apparently Salem is just too busy for some reason.
