This week at the Salem Rotary, we once again welcomed the Salem High School Chamber Singers and Jazz Band for their annual concert. Cynthia Napierkowski, Coordinator of Music for the Salem Public Schools, spoke beforehand about her desire to join Rotary at some point. More than that, though, she hopes to see some former students become Rotarians. She thanked the Salem Rotary for inviting the students and for providing such a delicious lunch.
One member of the Jazz Band said that playing for the Salem Rotary was his favorite day of the year. The bottmless chicken fingers with buffalo sauce might have played a role in his decision-making. Another student creatively made a sandwich out of chicken fingers by using dinner rolls.
The Salem Rotary made a donation to both the Jazz Band and the Chamber Singers.
